This area is home to the Carib Territory with it's mixture of unique culture, and breathtaking Atlantic coastline scenery. Inland, there are many exciting spots to explore.
The 3,780-acre Carib Territory, located on Dominica's East Coast, is home to about 3,000 Carib Indians, the only community of its kind left in the world. Caribs still practice the skills that their forebears passed down from generation to generation, weaving baskets from the l'arouma reed and crafting dugout canoes from the trunks of mighty gommier trees.
There are a number of small waterfalls in this area. Be sure also to visit the sweeping bay at Castle Bruce.
