At the southern tip of Dominica, Scott's Head is a short hike from the village of the same name. The 20-minute walk to the top is well worth it - there are stunning views of the bay, north along the coast, and south to Martinique.

Scott's Head is home to the remains of the first British Fort to be constructed on Dominica.

Work on the Fort began in 1765 under the direction of Lieutenant Governor George Scott, after whom the British mapmakers named the headland.

Hike-ability Factor: A piece of cake! (What's This?)
