Dominica has become known as the "Whale
Watching Capital of the Caribbean" because of the
high rate of succes in seeing whales or dolphins during whale
watching excursions here.
The waters off of Dominica are prime
areas for whales to feed, breed and play. Many film makers
and photographers come to Dominica because of the ease in
spotting whales and dolphins.
Types of whales and dolphins commonly found in our waters
include: sperm whales, pilot whales, pygmy whales, Atlantic
spinner dolphin and spotted dolphin.
